Move Your Margins

“Move Your Margins”

(Matthew 15:8) These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

This Scripture is an Old Testament prophecy, fulfilled in (Matthew 15:8).

(Isaiah 29:13) Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as these people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.

The definition of precept: Is a guiding principle or rule that is used to control, influence, or regulate conduct.

When we honor God with our lips, but our hearts are far from Him.

There are 5# things that have taken place:

1. We draw near to God with the mouth alone.

2. We honor God with the lips only.

3. Removing the heart far from Him.

4. Fearing God only after the precept (the guiding, direction, and the control of men).

5. Causing a false profession and an estrangement from God.

(Romans 8:28) says, and we “know” which means to be aware, conscious, and cognizant. Why, because everything starts with our mind. We have a “growth mindset” and the “fixed mindset”. The fixed mindset is set on certain things, and the growth mindset is a mindset that’s changing! Because God is a God that changes your mind. God doesn’t change, we do! We can’t walk with God and give Him half of us…….everything must become new.

A fixed mindset believes your intelligence is fixed, and that you’ll never be good. You are not open to new when you have a fixed mindset. Why, because when something is fixed, it is unmovable, rigid, and permanent. Causing your mindset to be fastened and securely set in place. Refusing to move, or budge from what you feel about yourself. Your fixed mindset will tell you, that you will never start the business, write the book, finish your education, start the classes, break the addiction, or move past your fear of failure, or fear of success!

GOD wants us to exercise and execute a GROWTH MINDSET! Because God is about changing EVERYTHING in our lives. We are not who the world says we are, we are who GOD says we are! Because what we get on the inside of us, will eventually manifest changes on the outside of us! We have to have a transformed mind. When you don’t have a renewed mind, you struggle to come to Jesus, go to church, and remain in the church.

If there is no transformation, there is NO FRUIT of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). You MUST be transformed by the renewing of your mind. If there is no conversion, there is no transformation. Apostle Howard said we must go to Conversion School and Transformation University. When the mind is not renewed it is unregenerate. An unregenerate mind is persistently unwilling to accept change and is not renewed in the heart and the mind. We CAN grow, expand, and enlarge our mindset because we are new creatures, not new people. God wants it all! We have to Move the Margins of our Minds, from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset.

A transformation through the renewing of your mind breaks the margins off your mind! When your mind is fixed, your thinking is marginal, but when it’s a growth mindset, you grow past all margins of self! Now the Scriptures can leap off the pages of the Bible, as you become a walking, breathing, Bible, that’s read by men! We have to want to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We have a choice, to either perform or to be transformed…..which will it be?

We are to be living sacrifices (Romans 12:1) and living sacrifices do not conform but are transformed. Because when you are transformed, you will automatically submit your body to God! The greater the calling on your life, the more renewing you will need. You must understand that where the mind is, where your mind rests, where your mind resides, your body will follow. Therefore, we MUST turn our whole hearts and our whole hearts back to God! We can not give God only “one” and expect to make it. We must have a transformed and renewed mind, and when we don’t, we have NOT accepted His love and His sonship, as His sons and daughters.

I remember a time when I was in an emotionally abusive relationship, and throughout that relationship, I was ALWAYS sick! I was so unhappy, I was making myself sick! There was no conversion and therefore no transformation. I was not aware, not conscious, or cognizant. God did not have my whole heart and God did not have my whole mind, because my mind was full of self-imposed margins!! And because I had so many margins, I marginalized and minimized myself, by allowing myself to become regulated and denigrated to a position of no importance or value. Thank God for my transformation and the continual renewal of my mind.

(Romans 12:2) says, Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. This verse is a command! Look at the 2nd command in this verse: Do not conform to another example. Our example is Jesus Christ. And do not pattern yourself after this age, or to the times.

We are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Why, because the change begins in the mind. And can only take place through a growth mindset, when we allow God, to Move the Margins of our Minds. We will begin to honor God with our lips, by moving our whole hearts, and the whole mind, back to Him.
